About Us

Our founders, Charles Schreeder, Warren Wheeler, and David Flint, first opened their doors in 1974. They envisioned a firm that was energetic, smart and responsive to clients in a fast-changing marketplace. Their bold move proved insightful. The same entrepreneurial spirit that created our firm continues to shape our growth and inspire us today.

Reputation for Excellence
Since its inception, the firm has earned a reputation for excellence and solid value - both among clients and peers. We are proud of our work and our attorneys.

Our commitment to understanding the law and advocating the needs of our clients has been the driving force behind the firm's significant wins in cases dealing with First Amendment rights, rezoning issues and contract disputes. Our transactional attorneys pride themselves on assessing and protecting the interests of our clients in sophisticated transactions. We are aggressive problem-solvers seeking to achieve our client's objectives while mitigating their risks.

Whether your business is just starting out, financing growth, acquiring space to expand, battling with a competitor or navigating choppy economic waters, SWF has the knowledge and business savvy to help you achieve your goals. From handling complex litigation to managing sophisticated transactional work, our attorneys have the expertise and skills to provide superior representation.

Our attorneys are licensed in states other than Georgia to meet the multi-jurisdictional demands of our clients in a global economy.

Personal Relationships
As a mid-size law firm, our attorneys and professional staff are able to offer a unique, high level of personalized service. Our clients have direct access and establish lasting relationships with the firm's top partners. In addition to individual attention, clients receive the benefit of the collective experience and network of SWF attorneys. We provide expert counsel to our clients on a wide range of issues and know how to get results. SWF has many long-standing client relationships because we consistently find sensible, cost-effective solutions to issues as they arise.

Community Service
Our attorneys play an active role in the Atlanta community because the firm believes that ongoing involvement enhances the communities where we live and work. Some of the organizations and boards where our attorneys participate include the Shepherd Spinal Center, Northside Youth Organization, Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation, Rotary Club and many others. We actively support such professional organizations as the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers and Atlanta Legal Aid.

Commitment to Diversity
SWF values and appreciates a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds and experience. The firm is committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants. It is our belief that diversity fosters an open and positive environment where everyone can collaborate and grow together. We recognize each individual based solely on merit and personal contributions.
