Scott has more than 15 years of professional legal experience and represents his clients before local and state governmental bodies in regard to eminent domain proceedings; zoning, permitting and other land use and development issues; and general commercial litigation. He has spoken on these topics at both the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the National Business Institute and was recently selected as a "Best Lawyer" in America in Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law by The American Lawyer.

experience
- Represented a private landowner in an eminent domain proceeding regarding approximately 350 acres of property located along the Chattahoochee River where he negotiated a sale price more than triple that originally offered by the condemning authority and secured beneficial tax treatment for the sale.
- Prevailed in representation of a local charter school in a dispute with its local Board of Education and the State Board of Education. Based upon this representation, the local charter school was able to remain open during the litigation process and recently received a new three-year charter.
- Litigated the condemnation of a sewer injector line through property located along the Chattahoochee River that resulted in a final judgment of nearly 10 times the original offer.
