With more than forty years of professional legal experience, Leo Rose focuses on representing entrepreneurial clients in multiple aspects of commercial real estate. Leo is lead real estate counsel for a timber investment management organization that acquires, manages and sells timberland in multiple states, including, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York. He also works on numerous developments, including hotels, apartments, subdivisions, mixed-use developments, shopping centers, resorts, condominiums and golf course conversions. Leo works on public-private partnership transactions related to real estate. Leo's experience includes partnerships and joint ventures, lending and borrowing, and landlord/tenant representation.

Leo is licensed to practice in the states of Georgia and Florida.

Experience

Represented the purchaser of (i) 79,000 acres of timberland for approximately $66 million and (ii) 49,000 acres of timberland for approximately $47 million.

Represented timberland owners in one calendar year in connection with the disposition of 189 parcels in multiple states totaling $55 million.

Represented one of the purchasing entities in connection with the $535 million acquisition of a hotel and golf course resort in Florida.

Represented the owner/borrower in a $182 million public-private partnership involving a state university and the issuance of lease revenue bonds.

Represented the owner/developer in a $57 million transaction involving a regional hospital and the issuance of lease revenue bonds.

Represented the buyer in the purchase of property on the Las Vegas strip from an assemblage of sellers in an $86 million deal.
